14:30 Haydock – Laraaib (BEST ODDS 10/3 with Paddy Power)
Laraaib looks set to be a superstar and definitely deserves this set up in class. He is a dual course and distance winner. He has won impressively on all three of his career starts to date, and it would not be a surprise to see him win on debut at this level. Autocratic looks the biggest danger here, and was impressive when winning a Group 3 race last time out it has to be said. I’m not convinced, however, that he will be able to deal with a 12 pound rise in the weights. It is also a negative on his part, that Ryan Moore is not his jockey for this one. Laraaib has Jim Crowley on board and his trainer has been in good form over the last fortnight. This looks like the best race of the day and it will be no surprise to see this horse go off favourite. This son of Pivotal has looked very progressive so far, and looks good value to add to his three victories at this trip.
