13:50 Goodwood – Frontispiece (BEST ODDS 11/1 with bet365)
Frontispiece is a distance winner that has won two of his three career starts. He is at the same weight when disappointing last time out, but he has a five pound claimer on board today. I think that could make a massive difference and he’s a value price in a competitive race.
14:25 Goodwood – Melodic Motion (BEST ODDS 5/1 with bet365)
Melodic Motion is on a four-timer and certainly looks the pick of this bunch on form and class. It also helps that he’s a course winner too. He’s also stepping up in trip today, but I’m backing him to improve for it and blow this field away at a decent price too boot.
15:00 Goodwood – Cardsharp (BEST ODDS 10/3 with Paddy Power)
I would be surprised if this horse wasn’t favourite when this race goes off at 3pm. He was very very good when winning by almost two lengths in a Group Two race last time out. He’s only one of two horses to have won on both the going and over the trip; he should go very close.
15:35 Goodwood – Winter (BEST ODDS 13/8 with Sky Bet)
This looks an absolute cracking race, but I can’t look beyond Winter. She is such a classy filly and has won three races on the bounce. Having O’Brien and Moore as her trainer and jockey is a massive plus. I’m backing her to stay the trip and dominate this field of good horses.
16:10 Goodwood – Veejay (BEST ODDS 6/1 with bet365)
I think that Veejay looks the best bet here. It’s a tricky race to figure out as there’s not much form on offer, but this horse is yet to put a foot wrong. He’s two from two, a distance winner and his jockey is in great form as of late. I’m surprised he’s such a big price.
16:45 Goodwood – Magical (BEST ODDS 4/7 with bet365)
Magical looks like one of the bankers of the whole week. She was very close to upsetting an odds-on shot on debut and looks a cut above anything else in this field. She’s related to last year’s winner and as long as she breaks well, she’ll surely win.
