This week bet365 bring to you a host of action from a number of different sports, as we try to fill the void left following the climax of the domestic football season. First of all we a number of international friendlies, with Italy against Uruguay and Brazil v Argentina being the highlights. Brazil and Argentina will travel to Australia to face off in one of the world’s largest sports arenas, The MCG, as they contest the showcase event. Brazil have made the journey without superstar Neymar, who has been rested having led them to World Cup Qualification before any other team, however still have an abundance of talent in their armoury. Chelsea forward, Willian, is expected to come into the starting XI to replace the former captain Neymar and will be looking to add to his 7 international goals. In contrast, captain Lionel Messi is expected to start for Argentina, who aren’t in great form as of late, having only won 2 from their last 6 World Cup Qualifiers. This run of results has left Argentina in 5th place in the South American qualifying group and each game is now effectively a must win, if they’re to make it to Russia next summer. With that in mind, Jorge Sampoli will be looking to his array of attacking talent in an attempt to boost confidence with a win against the old foes Brazil. Messi, Higuain and Aguero bagged 81 league goals combined last season and so it will be the job of David Luiz et al to keep them at bay!
Aside from football, we also continue to bring you every minute of the NBA Finals, as The Cav’s and The Warriors go head to head in game three early tomorrow. The Warriors go into the match with a 2-0 series lead, meaning they’ll only require 2 more victories from the remaining 5 to ensure their second championship in the last 3 years.
Finally this week, we have the remaining group stage matches in the ICC Champions Trophy. England have already secured their place in the semi-finals and take on Australia, in what is always a grudge match, and would love to contribute to their bitter rivals’ early exit from the tournament. In order for this to happen, England must beat Australia and then hope that one of Bangladesh or New Zealand manage to get a result.
