After what seems like and feels like an endless summer break, this week we’re finally rewarded with some domestic football from across some of Europe’s top leagues. We still have a week to go until Serie A, La Liga and the Bundesliga kick off, however in the meantime we do have Ligue 1 and given the most talked about transfer of the summer involved PSG, then all eyes are sure to be on their game on Sunday. The world’s most expensive footballer, Neymar, last week completed his record move from Barcelona to the French capital and pending paperwork, could make his debut this weekend. Following PSG’s inability to defend their Ligue 1 title last season, many predicted big changes at the club, however perhaps not one as radical as this. The pressure will now be on the Parisian giants, especially given that last season’s champions Monaco have had the heart of their squad ripped out, following the sales of Bernado Silva, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Bernard Mendy. PSG and Neymar will be looking to follow last week’s 2-0 victory against Amiens as they travel to Guingamp, who finished in mid-table last year.

Current champions Monaco also got off to a winning start at the weekend and with rumours circulating about the potential departure of starlet Kylian Mbappe, they’ll be hoping they can continue in the same fashion as they travel to Dijon. Despite the sale of 3 key assets, Monaco have managed to cling onto winger Thomas Lemar and midfielder Fabinho, in addition to the signing of the highly rated Belgian Youri Tielemans and with that, should be hoping to push PSG all the way.

In addition to action in Europe, we also have a full round of MLS fixtures, as well as a number of matches from the Caribbean Twenty20!
