Coming up this week we have the second major tennis tournament of the year, with coverage of all courts from the French Open. Qualifiers are well underway now and we’ll have continuing coverage of those before the first round of the tournament gets underway on Sunday. Rafael Nadal is the 4/5 (1.80) favourite with bet365 to take the men’s title due to his incredible record on clay and at this tournament, lifting the trophy on 9 occasions. He won 4 in a row from 2005 to 2008 and then 5 in a row from 2010 to 2014 but has failed to win either of the last two, with Novak Djokovic triumphant last year and Stan Wawrinka taking the honours in 2015. Djokovic is priced at 3/1 (4.00) to win this year with Wawrinka at 12/1 (13.00). In the women’s tournament only 1 player has managed to retain the title in the last 20 years, with Justine Henin successful in the 2005, 2006 and 2007 events. Garbiñe Muguruza therefore has her work cut out in trying to repeat last year’s success on these courts and is priced at 10/1 (11.00) to do that. Simona Halep is the favourite at 7/2 (4.50) although she’s yet to land a major title and there are fitness doubts after she tore an ankle ligament while playing in the Italian Open Final last week.

We also have some huge football matches available on our streaming service this week. In Italy it’s the final day of the Serie A season on Sunday and although Juventus are already champions and Roma and Napoli are already confirmed as the others who’ve qualified for next season’s Champions League the two of those will be fighting it out for second place and an automatic place in the group stages. Roma currently have a one-point advantage and are at home to Genoa, but should they slip up Napoli will be looking to capitalise in their game away at Sampdoria. At the bottom of the table it’s a battle between Crotone and Empoli to stay in the league. Empoli are one point better off and are away to already-relegated Palermo, while Crotone have a home fixture against Lazio knowing that if they better Empoli’s result they’ll be playing Serie A football again next season.

From France we will be showing the Coupe de France Final between Angers and PSG. The Parisian giants are looking to win this competition for a record 11th time, which would go some way towards easing their disappointment at losing out on the league title to Monaco. Angers meanwhile have never lifted the trophy and have only ever played in the final once, losing 6-3 to Toulouse in an epic final 60 years ago in May 1957. We also have the relegation play-off between Lorient, who finished 18th in Ligue 1 this year, and Troyes, who were third in Ligue 2. The first leg takes place tonight with Troyes having home advantage before the second leg in Lorient on Monday evening.

On Monday Huddersfield Town and Reading face each other at Wembley with a place in next season’s English Premier League at stake. Huddersfield have not been in the top flight of English football for 45 years and have been this season’s surprise package, ending the campaign in third place after 4 years of relegation battles and 16th to 19th place finishes. Reading have also had a couple of lean years prior to this one, finishing 17th last season and 19th the season before, but have played in the Premier League as recently as 2012-13. Managers David Wagner and Jaap Stam have enjoyed excellent seasons in their first management jobs in England and one of them will be celebrating a famous victory on Monday and looking forward to testing themselves at Premier League level next year.
