France v Australia – ‘Home’ Win
(World Cup 11:00 Kick Off)
France kick off a beautiful Saturday for football fans all across the world and they should have no problem with beating Australia here. The last two times these teams met, France were four goals up by half time. France are favourites for a reason and they will want to get their campaign off with a flyer here.
Argentina v Iceland – ‘Home’ Win
(World Cup 14:00 Kick Off)
Messi and Co then follow Griezmann and his pals for an intriguing tie against Iceland. While a lot of people have taken to Iceland, I can’t see them beating Argentina. They of course did win their qualification group ahead of Croatia, but Argentina will be wanting to prove the doubters wrong and of course, you’ve always got a chance when you have Lionel Messi in your side.
Peru v AS Denmark – ‘Home’ Win
(World Cup 17:00 Kick Off)
This clash looks a little bit more evenly matched and although Denmark have an excellent player in Eriksen to help them out, I actually fancy the Peruvians to get a crucial three points. Peru haven’t lost since November 2016 and even that was against Brazil. Their manager has them playing great attacking football and they look value here.
Croatia v Nigeria – ‘Home’ Win
(World Cup 20:00 Kick Off)
Croatia and Nigeria face off in the last game of the day and I wouldn’t want to be putting money on a Nigeria win. They haven’t won in seven games and have looked lacklustre in recent times. Croatia have some genuinely world class players and will want to get three points here as they face a difficult task in topping a group with Argentina in.
