Chelsea v Arsenal – Home Win
(English Premier League, 13:30 Kick Off)
Being an Arsenal fan, I know all too well the pain that a trip to Stamford Bridge can cause. The away side haven’t won there in the league since 2011 and have conceded 13 goals in their last four trips there in the league. They got back to winning ways against Bournemouth last time out, but this looks an ask too far for a team that just can’t seem to beat the bigger teams away. Chelsea looked very good in midweek and their opening day blip seems to have been just that.
Spal v Cagliari – Home Win
(English Premier League, 14:00 Kick Off)
I’m surprised that the home side here are available at such a big price. They may be a newly promoted side, but they are holding their own in their new division. Their currently above Cagliari in the table, having grabbed a point more than them so far. Cagliari’s two away defeats won’t inspire them with confidence before having to travel to a team that is seemingly on a high. They also finished 11th in the league overall, but ranked 17th for their away form.
PSV v Feyenoord – Away Win
(Dutch Eredivisie, 15:45 Kick Off)
I’m not quite sure why Feyenoord are available at such a big price here. They have a perfect record so far in the league and look to be free scoring at the moment, having found the back of the net 12 times in that period. They won the league last season and have made a strong start in their bid to retain the title. They were very good on the road last season and ranked 2nd in the division for their away form. PSV have already lost once already this season and I can see Feyenoord taking an early but decisive step towards retaining their title here at a big price.
